Most failed automation projects start with a tool, not a workflow. A business buys software, connects a few tasks, and hopes the system will create order. It rarely does.

The first job is to map how work currently moves: where information enters, who makes decisions, where handoffs happen, and which checks protect quality. Only then can AI or automation be placed where it removes friction rather than creating more.

Good systems work begins with operational truth. The technology matters, but the architecture matters more.
